The Australian Women Writers Reading Challenge round up of Crime Reviews.

The Guardian looks at the crime inspiration of West Australian writers, and also how crime fiction is changing (with added romance) in Sweden.

Tobias Buckell linked to a fascinating study on the falling murder rates in Jamaica, and the connection to the reduction of lead pollution during the same period. What exactly did you do to us, leaded fuels??

Food and crime – there’s always been a connection between the two literary themes, and this BBC article even acknowledges that after trying to pitch it as a new thing.
